Good question MasterZ. Well there's much more going when we sleep so ill just simplify it for you. In simple terms, Reality is consciousness, so what is really happening during lucid dreaming is your awareness has shifted into a higher reality. This can't be explained by regular physics because its beyond that. I'll probably post some more topics about this later on the week, but anyways this is just the basics of it.
